Born in a house filled with music, Ivan was on stage performing at 10 years old. At the age of 14 he started playing professionally in the family band. Growing up in a family band proved to be a valuable head start on the road to a music career.

As a son of songwriter Joe Duke, Ivan's first recording session was at age 10. This has continued to present day. Growing up on stage has made Ivan at home in front of an audience giving him a naturally smooth stage presence, as well as a highly skilled level of musicianship.

Ivan has played with many different artist including Bob Burns from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mark Wills, (Gran Ole Opry member), Jack Green, Sun recording artist and Rockabilly Hall of Fame member, Narvel Felts, Bertie Higgins (Key Largo) , Daron Norwood and many others. Ivan has opened many shows for artist like Travis Tritt, Mark Chesnut, and Brooks and Dunn, just to name a few. Ivan is currently playing with the Red Dirt Band as lead singer and guitarist.

Ivan continues to work as a studio musician. You can also find him performing his originals in many singer/songwriter venues.
